Andrew E. Sinwell

Mr. Sinwell joined Highside Capital Management in 2003 and oversees their telecommunications and media investments. He has spent 17 years working in and investing in these sectors.

From 1996 to 2003, Mr. Sinwell was a partner at Madison Dearborn Partners, a Chicago-based private equity fund with a strong telecom and media practice. While at MDP, Mr. Sinwell was a board member of nine companies in the telecom and media sectors, including Nextel Partners, Focal Communications, and WNP Communications. Prior to joining MDP, Mr. Sinwell served as Senior Policy Advisor at the Federal Communications Commission, where he worked on the first-ever spectrum auctions. He also held positions at NYNEX Communications and at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Sinwell is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School.
